Q:  How does the treatment work?

A: The PBE Visage machine that performs the Microcurrent Therapy work 2 ways. Stimulation: the wands which give off low electrical impulses are used in a specific pattern to stimulate muscle fibers. This exercises and strengthens the facial muscles giving better muscle tone. The electrical current detoxifies the muscle, which enhances metabolism. Electrical current is used to carry nutrients into the skin and toxins are removed from the skin. 

Q:  How long will it take for me to see results?

A:  Some individuals will see immediate changes in their skin. As with most intense treatments, improvement is increasingly obvious over a period of time. Most individuals will see results after three treatments and noticeable change after 6 treatments. Results depend significantly on the individual's age, skin condition and lifestyle choices. For example, non-smokers will likely see more results more quickly than smokers. Individuals who drink more water will more likely see faster results than individuals who drink large amounts of caffeine.  

Q:  What will the treatments feel like?

A:  They are comfortable and relaxing. Some clients experience a mild tingling sensation as the micro current wands are being applied and moved about the face.

Q:  How many treatments do I have to have?

A:  The Microcurrent Therapy procedure is recommended once a week and is sold in a  series of 6.  Series vary based on an individual's skin condition. Once the series is completed, the maintenance program usually recommends treatments every three to four weeks.  

Q:  Can I get Microcurrent Therapy with my facial once a month

A:  Yes, combining the Microcurrent Therapy procedure with certain types of facials is an excellent skin care program.  

Q:  What is the best age to start the procedure?

A:  There is no best age to begin the procedure. What is best for you depends on your skin condition, and lifestyle choices. Your Aesthetician can recommend the appropriate number of sessions after the initial consultation.  

Q:  What will happen if I discontinue the sessions?

A:  The Microcurrent Therapy process is based on a series of sessions for accumulative results and maintenance sessions for continued results. When you discontinue the series or maintenance program your skin's tonicity will eventually return to its normal or baseline state (prior to treatments).
